Twenty-five years ago, Daven Talvi chose to serve the Bitterroot Elf Clan by allowing its Circle of Elders to send him and a few other warriors into suspended animation until their queen could be rescued. In doing so, he gave up his mate and his newborn son, sacrificing his own life for that of the clan. It had been a mistake. With the clan now in chaos and a new young queen in hiding, Daven must acknowledge his own errors and take responsibility to set things right. He teams up with Lane Donatelli, a human who has too long used food and computer gaming to feed his insecurities. Together, they use Laneís technology combined with Davenís innate magical abilities to wage battle against evil elf mages threatening the clan.

"THE ELF MAGE by Lyndi Alexander is my personal favorite in the four-volume Clan Elves of the Bitterroot urban fantasy series, mainly because of its main character, Daven Talvi. Daven is present throughout all of the books, but this one sheds more light on his past and puts him on a path to make things right for his family and himself. The mix of magic and technology is brilliant and fascinating. As with all of the books in this series, it is top-notch genre in well-crafted third person deep limited with great character development and beautiful narrative." ~ reviewed by Amber Sparks for Roserock Reviews [FIVE STARS]
"THE ELF MAGE written by Lyndi Alexander, the third in a series of the Clan Elves of the Bitterroot, is a wonderful tale of love, friendship and duty to the 'clan'. Lyndi weaves the tale of life lessons through characters so real you wish you knew them in real life. THE ELF MAGE makes you realize what you can accomplish by being given that little push we all sometimes need to get out of our comfort zone. Amazing!" ~ P. Micosky [FIVE STARS]
"Newly released in e-book format, THE ELF MAGE, third book in the Clan Elves of the Bitterroot series by Lyndi Alexander, is the best yet! In the tradition of Brian Mull, this fantasy about elves and their interaction with humans, both positive and negative, will delight young adult readers and adults as well. I loved it! The characters are strong and realistic, the action pulling the reader in, eager for more. How long will I have to wait for the next one?" ~ Dr. Jane Nixon White [FIVE STARS]
"Every aspect of THE ELF MAGE, like the ones before, is intriguing. Readers will stand behind (Daven) and wait with anticipation for their hero to emerge from his loneliness. The beginning is swift and draws the reader in immediately, and the 'full circle' ending for Daven is extremely memorable." ~ Amy Lignor for Feathered Quill
