Phoebe promised her dying Cherokee grandmother that she would hold onto the farm until she solved this riddle: "Take care of the land and the land will take care of you." Seven years later she is in a bitter fight to keep Jack (her former brother-in-law) from taking her home and farm near Oklahoma City. Just as she is about ready to give up, Alex (a sexy and mysterious Native American martial artist) offers his assistance. But who is Alex and what is his connection to Jack? Why does Jack fight so hard for land in which he had never before shown an interest? Why has her grandmother's ghost appeared? Instead of one riddle to solve, Phoebe now has a fistful of them.

“The paranormal romance MUSK RAIN offers everything a serious reader wants in a book, from a sympathetic heroine to a luscious and mysterious love interest to the proverbial skunk at the picnic bad guy out to ruin everyone's day. This literary work has top-notch writing, in-depth characters, and a splash of the paranormal. MUSK RAIN is what genre fiction is supposed to look like!”

“After the death of her husband, Phoebe Henderson's life becomes miserable. She feels she's living a nightmare. Due to the untimely death of her husband and the stipulations of his grandfather's will, she is forced to share her house with her brother-in-law. Jack is a brute; a man who thinks nothing of stooping to sexual harassment or physical abuse to get what he wants. He feels that not only has he inherited the house, but Phoebe also. Phoebe is loathe to leave the house or the land due to a promise she made to her dying grandmother. Until she can figure out what the meaning behind her grandmother's words is, she is determined to stay on the land and somehow find a way to handle Jack. Just when she thinks she can't take it anymore, a chance meeting in a bookstore with a dangerously sexy man, who brushes past her and leaves the pleasant smell of musk and rain, gives her courage and determination to keep her promise. She later comes to know the lethal and enigmatic man, Lin, a Native American martial artist, also known as Alex, who offers to teach her how to take control of her own life and handle things. That he also has a personal more intimate reason for getting to know Phoebe is an added bonus. However, there is more to Alex and his interest in Phoebe - and that reason is tied to a connection with Jack. Terri Branson's e-book, MUSK RAIN, is a blend of wonderfully depicted characters with a traditionally Native American background. The plot was interesting. Branson's knowledge of Native American mysticism and culture was very enlightening. The secondary characters helped carry the story along really well and added genuine depth to the author's style. While Phoebe is very easy to identify and sympathize with, Alex is bound to leave the reader breathless with pulses racing! Branson has shown exceptional talent for storytelling, enmeshing spirituality and suspense so well in a tale about a woman's fight to defy the odds and emerge victorious. The sensuality and sexual tension is practically sizzling and bound to keep the pages turning rapidly! I'd recommend this book to all fans of Ms Branson's. This is one story readers are bound to love!”

“MUSK RAIN offers an intense tale of native Americans living in the modern world while struggling to retain their ancestral values. The main character Phoebe is easy to identify with. The love interest Alex is luscious, but harboring some darker elements. Paranormal aspects are sprinkled throughout this intense tale, including a watchful ghost.”

“I loved this book! Officially, the genre is paranormal romance, but as far as I'm concerned it's just plain fun. Sometimes explicit, but always sweetly done, the sex is HOT, a real turn-on. But the best thing about the book is the story. A plot line with fascinating, complicated characters and enough plot twists and surprises to keep even the most critical reader turning pages, MUSK RAIN delves into the Cherokee Indian heritage of the author with enough authenticity to make a reader want to learn more. It also touches on the martial arts and complicated family relationships. The book was written with love and a sensitive eye to the environment. Some of the descriptions make one wonder how the author can see the world with such clarity. Fast moving, always suspenseful, surprises around every corner. Definitely a five-star read!”

“MUSK RAIN takes the reader on a wild ride through situations that occur through the illegal dealings of one man's greed for power. Phoebe has never fully trusted the decisions she has made but with Alex's help, she is finally able to understand that any judgments she makes for herself are hers alone. I like the story for the strong characters and subtle romance.”

“Drawing deeply from the well of her knowledge of Native American mysticism, Terri Branson takes the reader of MUSK RAIN on a journey in which a spiritual tryst by a waterfall never seen with physical eyes is as real as a lazy summer afternoon on the banks of a farm pond.”

“MUSK RAIN by Terri Branson is full of wonderful things: good characters, an interesting plot, psychic phenomena, and insight into Native American life today. Not to mention the sexiest psychic phenomena I ever read! I highly recommend this sensuous, well-written book."
